Asphalt

Since ancient times, asphalt has been recognized as a desirable paving material because of its longevity, flexibility and low maintenance.

Also known as blacktop, our Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) is formulated from many combinations of recycled asphalt, crushed rock and sand with asphalt as a binder. We custom blend asphalt for your specific needs and budget, ensuring years of trouble free service.

Porous asphalt is an alternative first step in filtering runoff before it enters the water table.

It is a multi-layered method of managing water runoff in such a way as to benefit the homeowner or business, the community and the environment.

The sub-base layer is whatever soil type naturally occurs under the area to be paved.

After grading this sub-base, a layer of crushed rock is evenly distributed and compacted. This base layer of crushed rock allows for optimal runoff drainage with maximum support for the asphalt.

Porous asphalt, a formula of evenly sized crushed rock with a binder of asphalt, is blended so that tiny spaces are created between the stones, allowing for the passage of runoff through the porous asphalt and into the drain rock below.  This top layer is laid several inches thick, compacted, and rolled to a smooth finish.

Recycled Asphalt 

Asphalt is the most recycled material in America . Chances are you’ll be driving over recycled asphalt sometime today.

We recycle concrete for use as the base layer below asphalt. The inherent cement acts as a binder for the crushed rock in the recycled concrete, producing a solid base for the asphalt paved area.

Economically wise and environmentally friendly, we use recycled concrete ourselves and sell it directly to contractors.

Crushed rock

We stockpile crushed rock in the two most frequently used sizes: 5/8” and 1¼”, for our own use as well as for consumers and contractors.
